JIKO YOGA THERAPY
Journey within to heal
Jenny Rees Tonge is a yoga therapist, naturopath and zen meditation teacher, trained in herbal and natural medicine. She uses yoga, movement, pranayama, meditation, herbs, essential oils, nutrition, philosophy and massage to create a tailored programme for each person she works with.
Jenny specialises in working with entrenched mental and physical conditions that may manifest in chronic illness. She also uses reflexology and massage into movement and muscles to facilitate a client’s emotional and physical healing journey. Jenny works with clients on an intimate level that may also include poetry, music, singing, koans, chanting and dancing.
One of the most important aspects of yoga is relationship, and I take tremendous care to uplift, create joy and manifest love in my professional relationships with other humans.

WHAT IS YOGA THERAPY?
Yoga therapy adapts the latest research in medical science with ancient wisdom teachings. By understanding exactly how the brain and nervous system works with movement, breath and meditation we are able to develop practices that can re-set a client on a path to health and adjustment. Whether the struggle is with a Parkinson's diagnosis, fibromyalgia, insomnia or bereavement, yoga therapy can help.
Yoga therapy works by identifying possibilities for health beyond medical diagnosis, whilst also retaining a deep respect for western medicine. The first thing we identify when starting yoga therapy is whether there are dysfunctional breathing habits, movement patterns, or emotional or trauma effects, we then identify research that can guide you on your journey to healing beyond those limits. Even with chronic disease it is possible to improve health.
